My Inspiration
As a Punjabi girl who was raised in a traditional household, I have come to appreciate the significance of embracing one's culture. Living in the western society has further reinforced this belief. As a result, I have created a project that reintroduces traditional motifs, such as paisleys, and elevates them with a touch of luxury. These motifs have been transformed into chunnis that can also be used as scarfs, providing a stylish way for individuals to celebrate their culture. I wanted to find a way people can wear stylish yet traditional pieces, whilst still appreciating the culture and having that sense of connection to it.
